DIRECTIONS
Many road names have recently been changed. See old names in brackets ()

1. FROM THE CITY.

Samora Machel St. Head North for 2,3kms. Left lane, glide off at Sandile Thusi (Argyle Road) M17. Head up Sandlie Thusi for 2,3kms. continue up hill until reach. STEPHEN DLAMINI RD (Essenwood Road) Turn left and 200m on left hand side is ESSENWOOD HOUSE No.630. Press the bell, gates will open, drive in.

2. FROM PIETERMARITZBURG/JO’BURG ON FREEWAY N3.

Head towards City on N3. Sign reads Exit 3 Berea / Ridge Rd. Get into left hand lane and glide off. Traffic lights at top of hill about 150m after gliding off. Carry on straight across Peter Mokaba Rd (Ridge Road) in left hand lane at these lights. At next set of lights turn left into Stephen Dlamini Rd (Essenwood Road) 2,4kms along Stephen Dlamini Rd, after 7th set of lights is Essenwood House No.630 on right hand side. Press bell, gates open.

3. From S.Coast on N2, pass old airport, keep in right lane head for Durban City (M4) for 12 kms.
Glide off Exit 2, onto Che Guevara Road (formerly Moore Road) sign reads : North Coast, Berea, Beaches Pietermaritzburg . Head along Che Guevara Road up hill for about 1.8kms, pass Village Mall, a shopping centre on your right. Immediately after at traffic lights turn Right into Lina Arendse Road (Manning Road). Cross freeway at lights, , name (same road) changes to Stephen Dlamini Road (Essenwood Road).After 7th set of lights, Essenwood House on right hand side, No.630. Press bell, gates will open, drive in.

4. From N. Coast and King Shaka Airport

From N. Coast on N2 look for Exit 165 Durban (N3) East. Head for Durban City. Keep in left hand lane. Exit 3 on a bend up hill sign reads Berea, Ridge Road. Follow directions in No.2 above.

From King Shaka Airport. Head for Durban, through toll and join N2 South, Durban. From there follow directions in 4. above. Distance 39.5kms, approx 30 minutes except morning and evening rush hours when expect a bit longer.

Alternative Route

From King Shaka Airport head for Durban on N2. After 7.6kms take EXIT 190, Sign: M27 Umdhloti.Verulam Glide off left towards Umdhloti, travel 500 metres then turn right onto M4 UMHLANGA. Pass Umhlanga (on your left), keep in right hand lane for Durban. Pass new football stadium on RIGHT , then keep in right hand lane to first set of traffic lights since leaving N2. (Distance on M4 21.7kms from Umdhloti ) TURN RIGHT into M17W BEREA Sandile Thusi Road (Argle Road) 2,5kms up hill turn left into Stephen Dlamini (Essenwood) Road, 120m on LEFT entrance to Essenwood House. No.630. Distance 35kms, time outside morning rush hour (7-00 to 9.00 a.m.) 30 minutes.
